A man is waiting for his wife to give birth. The doctor comes in and informs the expectant father that his son was born without a torso, arms or legs. In fact, his son is just a head!

However, the dad loves his son and raises him as well as he can, with love and compassion.

Well, after 21 years, the son is now old enough for his first drink. His dad takes him to a neighborhood bar and tearfully tells him how proud he is of him. Dad orders up the biggest, strongest drink for his boy. With all the bar patrons looking on curiously and the bartender shaking his head in disbelief, the boy takes his first sip of alcohol.

Whoosh! A torso pops out of the bottom of the head! The bar goes dead silent for a moment, then bursts into loud cheers of joy.

The father, shocked, begs his son to drink again. The other bar patrons chant, “Take another drink! Take another drink!”

The bartender keeps slowly shaking his head in disbelief.

Pop pop! Two brand new arms pop out! The bar goes wild with cheering.

The father, crying, tells his son to drink again. The patrons continue chanting, “Take another drink!”

The nervous bartender closes his eyes, ignores the whole affair, and turns away.

By now the son is getting a bit tipsy, and with his new hands he reaches down, grabs his drink and guzzles the last of it.

Whoosh! Two new legs pop out. The bar goes mad while the father falls to his knees, tearfully giving thanks.

The boy stands up on his new legs and drunkenly stumbles to the left… then to the right… right out through the front door and into the street, where a truck slams into him, killing him instantly.

The bar falls silent.

The father moans in grief.

The bartender sighs and says, “He should have quit while he was a head!”
